Rochdale Digital Festival 2017

Well we're all back at the Ministry Of Makery today after a great day at Rochdale Digital Festival on Saturday.  It was great to work with so many enthusiastic families.  There was loads of excellent family learning.

It was also cool to showcase some of our cool projects.

Our most popular show and tells where the Lancashire Translator (a subtitling program the subtitles all films into the Lancashire Dialect), Sid Calderbass, (A Frankensteined Billy The Sea Bass, who reads South Lancashire poetry), and our Kinetic Organic Painting, titled Elemental (a series of sensors, servos, rgb leds, humidifier, live plants, water speakers, candles and Buddhist chants.....)

The most popular by far was paper and squishy electronics with loads of cool and creative critters and cards illuminated and wired for fun.

We also had some awesome fun with Virtual Reality and HTC Vive.....

It was great to be right next to the cooleroonie MadLab folks too....

In summary Heritage Hackers seems to be quite a hit, so the future's bright, with sensors and rgb leds...
