Most people think of electronics as just an extension of primary school science projects well here at the heritage hackers we don't just bore you with building a store bought robot toy and making it dance and sing we can show you how to build useful and beautiful things, our most well known projects are deep in virtual reality but we also know how to make burglar alarms ,thermostats and my most personal project the arduino gas sensor it can tell the difference between a fire, a faulty boiler and a gas leak , if it detects any danger you will the buzzer will sound. for now the gas sensor is just an arduino the size of a credit card , a perfboard and needs a 9 volt battery to run it , after its fully built it will have a 3d printed shell , the arduino will have been reduced to the size of a matchbox car, the arduino will be powered by just 9 volts of mains electricity as it needs a constant 9 volts to keep it from malfunctioning if the voltage drops by just 1 volt the sensor will malfunction, so anyway heres how to build it. step 1.
